| Who: |
For youth ages 14-24, who are U.S. citizens/U.S. permanent residents and live in Burlington, Chelsea, Malden, Medford, North Reading, Somerville, Wakefield, Wilmington, Woburn. |
| What: |
Eligible youth participating in the program will be undertaking work experiences in primarily public and non-profit worksites and some private employer worksites. The work will be paid at $8.00 per hour and will be approximately 20-25 hours per week for seven weeks. This is an opportunity to gain valuable Work Experience and to enhance Career Development. |
| When: |
Employment runs from July 6 through August 21. |
| To Qualify: |
You must meet certain income guidelines, and one of the following:
- Deficient in basic skills
- High school dropout
- Homeless, runaway or foster child
- Pregnant or parenting
- Court-involved or an offender
- Require additional assistance to complete an educational program

| Note: The following automatically qualify you for the income eligibility: |

- If a family member receives Food Stamps, welfare benefits (TAFDC)
- Youth is a foster child
- Youth lives in a shelter
- Youth in DYS or DCF custody (not living in parental home)
- Verification of physical or mental disability
