The Career Place Youth Division partners with area schools, community-based organizations and businesses to create opportunities for teens and young adults in need of career education and training options. The programs administered through The Career Place Youth Division enhance access to integrated learning environments, high-quality early work experience, and civic engagement. Participants are guided to make educated decisions for their occupational, academic and social futures. Our programs include:

Connecting Activities
Individual and classroom-based activities build job-readiness skills and help students develop plans for the future. Participants connect with businesses through company tours, job shadow events, internships, guest speaker forums, and job placement assistance.
Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Youth Services
A year-round federal program geared for youth (ages 14-21) who have either dropped out of high school or need help preparing for the GED test. The program emphasizes the attainment of basic skills competencies, enhances opportunities for academic and occupational training, and provides exposure to the job market and employment.
CareerLaunch - Summer Jobs
Summer jobs for today's youth, tomorrow's leaders.
Job Fairs
The Career Place is pleased to host job fairs at local schools and community centers.
Pathways to Success by 21 (P-21)
A statewide effort to improve the future prospects for vulnerable youth (ages 16-24), including those who are in school and those who are in out-of-school and out-of-work situations.
Pathways to Success - MCAS
Career planning and MCAS support services for senior or post-senior students who did not meet their school graduation or diploma requirements due to their MCAS scores.
Tailored Services
Specialized services, including small group, two-hour workshops focusing on career exploration, job search, computer training, and life skills.
