Construction Career Day 2010
| Students from Woburn High and Wakefield High and from Cambridge-based Just-A-Start participated in Construction Career Day 2010 in May at the New England Laborer's Training Academy in Hopkinton. The annual event is designed to show students that construction-related careers are rewarding– whether their interests lie in math, carpentry, mechanics or science. The program offers high school juniors and seniors the opportunity under professional guidance to learn how to operate backhoes, excavators, jackhammers, pavers, and other equipment and participate in such tasks as concrete finishing, welding, carpentry, and field engineering.
