For Employers

Would You Like to Invest in the Future of Our Youth?

Meaningful work experience can particularly affect the lives of at–risk youth. It can also help build confidence, provide role models, open up new experiences, and give at–risk youth a sense of belonging.

The Career Place Youth Department is seeking to establish partnerships with businesses in the Metro North Region to provide Employment, Company Tours, Guest Speakers/Workshops, Job Shadows, and Internships. These partnerships will enhance the relationships between businesses and school/youth organizations. The goal of the Youth Department is to develop and foster an environment of continuous learning through meaningful career development experiences, in which students learn workplace skills and behaviors, and businesses get a first–hand opportunity to promote their businesses and give back to the community.

Most of us probably remember our first work experience. Now you can provide the same opportunity to a youth at a time when fewer opportunities for employment experience exist for youth. You have the chance to teach youth the skills they need to succeed and reach their full potential.

Please feel free to contact our Director of Youth Programs, Katy Gentile, at 781.932.5502, or email us at youthdepartment@thecareerplace.org to let us know how you would like to help; or, if you would prefer, fill out the form below.

We look forward to hearing from you!
