The Career Place Youth Program is seeking to establish partnerships in the surrounding communities. These partnerships will enhance the relationships between businesses and schools/youth organizations. The goal of the program is to develop and foster an environment of continuous learning through meaningful career development experiences, in which students learn workplace skills and behaviors, and businesses get a first-hand opportunity to promote and meet their specific employment needs. Job Shadows: Allow a student to shadow your business for a few hours observing and assisting with work. Guided Tours of Your Business: Host a tour of your company for a student and/or teacher group. Guest Speakers/Workshops: Speak to a class of high school students about your occupation and the skills they need in the job or any subject of your choice. Part-time and Summer Employment for Students: Provide students with the opportunity to gain experience through a part-time or summer job. Student Internships: Provide an opportunity for students to gain practical experience in a specific field. Internships may be for 6-8 weeks. Financial Resources: Help sponsor an event or provide other resources. Other: Let us know of any other way you would like to contribute to this program.
