Employer Information Session The Career Place is pleased to host workshops and information sessions for local business professionals.
Is your company taking advantage of available state funding to enhance the skills of your workers as well as the success of your company? Join Michael Corcoran, representative from the Massachusetts Department of Career Services/Workforce Training Fund Program (WTFP) for an overview of the 5 grant programs available to Massachusetts employers, including tips for a successful application! Since 1998, the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund Program (WTFP) has awarded $199M to over 4,000 Massachusetts employers to train over 250,000 workers. This program is funded by Massachusetts businesses through a surcharge on their unemployment insurance premiums. All monies collected are deposited in a newly established trust fund for the exclusive use of the WTFP. All Massachusetts companies that pay unemployment insurance premiums and also pay the WTFP surcharge are eligible to apply for WTFP grants. Attend this lively and informative information session to learn more, including the most up-to-date information for all 5 grant programs:
