Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the world today, and can even result from your job-search activities. Currently, one out of eight people is a victim of this crime, with experts predicting that one person out of three will become victims in the next 12 months. |
This free seminar will cover:
- What is identity theft and who are its victims?
- How does it happen? What are the financial and emotional effects of this crime?
- What steps can you take to decrease your chances of becoming a victim? What precautions should you take as part of your job search?
- What do you need to do if you are a victim? What is the role of local law enforcement?
- What protection is available through consumer market solutions?

About our Speakers:
- Ms. Julie Gershon is an employee benefits specialist and independent associate with Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. (www.onlyoneme.com). Her organization has been providing pre-paid legal and identity theft monitoring/restoration plans to consumers and companies nationwide for the past six years.
- Det. Ralph Coakley has been a police officer for 27 years, serving the citizens of Woburn and Baltimore, MD. He has been a detective for the past five years, and has specialized in arson investigation, crime prevention, elder services and community service. His educational outreach has included presentations to PTO's, neighborhood and senior groups.
